It's been said he's in bad physical condition. He is not capable of performing for two hours straight.

"well geezer is the primary songwriter"
You need to get your facts straight. Tony has always been Sabbath's no.1 songwriter. You know why Sabbath Bloody Sabbath has been called "the riff that saved Sabbath"? Because during that period for the first time ever, tony was facing a severe writer's block. The other members were sitting around doing literally nothing but waiting for Iommi to write something.

well somewhat, becasue there was not other option according to Tony massive amounts of coke do weird things to people, Geezer wrote most of the lyrics and everybody else did their own thing, and yes, waited for tony to come up with something that they can follow, but I think tony demanded that

I thought the songs were always credited to all members like Val Halen did but I could be wrong

It doesn't matter what the booklets say or what is written at the back of a cd case. What matters is what really happened. And if you do a little research you'll find out that the other guys always speak very highly of tony. The second who gets most of the praise is Ward.
Even when the band gathered again to record 13, Geezer said in interviews the procedure was the same. "First we wait for Tony to come up with something".

"but I think tony demanded that"
Nobody demanded anything, in the early days at least. Tony had always been the most talented songwriter the band ever had and, from the get-go, he was the one at the forefront pitching new ideas. And the other members just rolled with it. And when you get passive at some point you end up relying too much on the course of things.

Of course, that doesnt mean Tony was the only guy in the room who wrote songs. For example, Geezer came up with the basic idea for the main riff of Black Sabbath, then tony modified it to the recorded version.
However, entire songs were written single-handedly by Tony, so, you got to give credit were it's due.
On the other hand, Geezer was the no.1 lyricist, but we're talking about songwriting here.

whatever, you should read "Symptom of the universe", which isn't the greatest book but seems to be subjective, and explains most of my comments
