I like it separately. Still jam it from time to time.

Back to School screws with the flow of White Pony, but is fine by itself [3]

i had this album for like a year before i knew Back to School was a bonus track
not every day you get a "bonus track" added to the front of the fuckin album, but it was never exactly out of place to me especially considering Pink Maggit plays like a reprise with BTS as the opener

it would be a better choice than other bonus tracks. still sounds weird with feiticeira not being the opener.

i don't know imagine finding out Airbag wasn't the real opener of OK Computer or something

This^^^ White Pony is still a 5 for me with or without Back to School as the opener, although I very much prefer it with Feitceira as the opener.

I was always told that White Pony was supposed to be them shedding the nu-metal beginnings, so I was quite surprised when Back to School opened the album. I don't hate it, but it's far from their best.

yeah out of everything i've heard from these guys white pony is the least enjoyable
|

kind of wish they'd go back to the nu-metal stuff tbh. they were at their best playing songs like lhabia, korea, street carp etc.
|
| |
Yeah I much prefer their softer, dreamy side but hey that's just me

I wouldn't want just one or the other exclusively.

Yeah they do both so well it'd be a terrible waste.

you have Team Sleep or Crosses [2]
anyway, i find it hard to call one my definitive favorite, WP seems like the obvious choice but it's not the one i go for most often - that'd have to be either ATF or Koi No
maybe Gore can take that crown

Don't forget Palms. Such an underrated album. I think they embrace their softer side very well.

I'm way too excited about Gore. I'm at the point where I'm worried it'll disappoint me by not being a 5.

well, so long as i can avoid the inevitable comparisons to Illmatic when listening to the new Deftones record i think i'll be fine
