Morningrise to Watershed? Why not include Orchid? It’s so unique and has amazing acoustic parts and sweet lyrics. It’s better than Deliverance at least, which is still 8/10.

In some ways I actually find MR to be more disjointed. It seems more fluid and cohesive because it’s five 10+ minute songs.

Yeah agreed tho most would find my opinions about Neurosis albums to be pretty whacked overall
Yeah I guess MR isn’t more disjointed than Orchid. I just hear a very haunting, evil, occult atmosphere in Orchid that’s only in that album. It’s really unique in that way, I read about it somewhere having to do with the song structures and chord progressions they did.

Agreed. MR in general is one of their classiest albums in that way, it does feel very mature and sorrowful whereas Orchid is more scattershot and evil and stuff. Both are pretty amazing.

This so hard, blegh. This is best Opeth and always will be.

Train drivers don't like when you body slam their trains.
It's a bit like old people looking scared at a mosh pit and not understanding all the fun and love going on.

Very very true, you don't realise how easy GCSEs were until you're facing your A-Levels head on. It's weird that I associate this album with y10/y11, just because that's when I jammed it the most.

I got into them in year 12 and at this point, I associate it with the beginning of my angsty pretentious music phase
