Lions trading up for Arnold continues the elite drafting in Detroit under Brad Holmes
I’m still baffled that Thomas fell to 23 - Jags traded down and still got their guy, rare Baalke trade W

all of these stacked playoff teams with legit gms getting to reap the benefits of the bad teams over drafting offense. these cbs are absolute steals

Round 1 Winners (imo):
Bears
Vikings
Jaguars
Lions
Chiefs
Round 1 Losers:
Giants (hated the Nabers pick for them)
Falcons (lmfao)
Packers
Bills (wtf you doing trading to benefit the Chiefs then trading out entirely)

I actually think the niners are losers. chiefs got better and niners need to match the chiefs moves, the easy pick was oline and they whiffed. hell if aiyuk is 100% gone why not trade up like the chiefs did and snag worthy? pearsall moves the needle 0%

niners for sure a loser. packers not a loser i feel, solid pick at a position of need. panthers moving up a pick for laviska shenault jr was pretty damn bad.

I know shit about college football except for what I read from a few people around the net / a couple of friends, so take this with a huuuuuuuuge pinch of salt but my initial reaction was similar to vult's in that the Jags won this round - getting a decent haul to trade down and still get Brian Thomas? Nice
I was also baffled by the Penix pick (weren't most people? lol) and the fact the Vikings traded up one spot... I can only assume the Jets played the Vikes using someone else (the Raiders?) and the Vikings got trigger happy thinking they were about to miss out. McCarthy was strongly rumoured to be trending upwards and at least they got their man I suppose. He has a pretty great set of weapons to work with in Minny, so he has a chance
Bills in total rebuild mode? Seems odd when they needed a WR themselves. Shakir breakout on the horizon? They must be happy with him
Also didn't like the 49ers taking a WR there, although admittedly I'm not sure of the player so can't say further than that
Lions in win-now mode, so using pick capital to get a potential difference maker at corner makes sense for them

deleting all the nice things i've said here about the falcons over the offseason

steelers took an olineman that can apparently play inside and outside i'm hyped. guaranteed to draft a receiver today now. so far so good

Bears grabbing Caleb and Odunze is great for them. Snagging Keenan Allen and Deandre Swift. They are retaining DJ Moore and Kmet is still a decent TE. Might be a fun offense to watch.

i'm at the point that i'm straight up expecting the bears to make the playoffs next year honestly, especially considering how weak the nfc was last year

Will we finally see a Bears 4k yds passer?? This is the best offense they’ve had on paper in like 3 decades

This is the Bears year!*
*Stated confidently at the start of every season by every Bears fan

even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while
so maybe this IS their year...
at least in the sense they might have a legitimate shot at the playoffs (not expecting more than that)
you certainly can't accuse them of not getting their new QB weapons. Poor Fields!
