I always complain about not seeing the reason Boxer gets so much praise, but I feel that about this record even stronger. High Violet is their only rlly great record.

The weak links for these guys personally are the vocals and lyrics and when they're such a big part of the music they make, it's hard for me to find enjoyment. High Violet makes up for this with sonically interesting textures and good songwriting.
