minerva is incredible.
i've always enjoyed the s/t atmosphere though. i think it sets the tone for snw kinda well. tracks like deathblow, hexagram, bloddy cappe, and moana are all top tier deftones too.

Yeah I do think a lot of the lower ratings for S/T is because it was so tough to follow expectations after WP.
What is it you don't like about KNY to rate it so lowly?
IMO this is the only Deftones album that doesn't have a single skipable track, it's all so solid though it doesn't have those one or two moments that would take it to a five.

dont get me wrong, KNY is a fantastic album. it's just 4-6 are really hard for me to rate, since they're all great. i agree this has no skippable tracks, but its highs arent on the same level for me as the highs on other deftones albums. i dont know i guess as an album i probably like it more than DE. deftones are a hard band to rank, since no matter what you do, somethings gonna be too low

white pony's definitely my favorite.
though re releasing it to have back to school as the opener was stupid. luckily, they realized that. never liked the re release of WP, but thats also because i dont like when the reissue of an album changes the album cover (Taking Back Sunday's TAYF especially)
