How the fuck did this go down to 3.5? I mean, I know this isn't their best but shit...

Didn't like doomed user at all at first but agreed it's one of the better songs on the album

Tracks 4-8 are all completely skipable. Some of their leasy inspired choruses and guitar work in years

Pittura actually has some nice riffs though.

Hearts/Wires is one of my favorites on the record so I'm inclined to disagree (w/ the 4-8 statement)
Doomed User is probably getting talked about a bit less since along with Prayers/Triangles it's somewhat less "new" than the rest of the album (they both came out before) but I dunno. cool track

Listening to this on a good stereo system rn and it's way better than I remember. Production is still not great but good speakers make it a bit better at least. Might have to bump this to a 4.

Better production would’ve helped this record massively yeah, it’s so toothless and plain as it is.

"so toothless and plain as it is."
I might like my women like that, but not my music!

The production does hurt it, but not as much as I used to think. The songs are so dynamic, with so many unbelievably beautiful moments that I can honestly forgive it at this point. I can confidently say now that this album is home to quite a few of my favourite Deftones songs. Phantom Bride in particular is one of their greatest songs ever.

Eh I feel the exact opposite man.
The best subtle Deftones tracks really are beautiful, but a handful of the tracks on here feel devoid of any sort of innovative ideas.
