I've heard it last week and it still sounds great to me. I'd be lying if I say this album didn't change my life (and my friends') back in the day, so I guess... credit where it's due?

tool never did anything for me. oddly i had a moment of really getting into Thrteenth Step years ago.

honestly it probably is my favorite.



Lateralus has the right amount of pretension, the songs are just too fucking long and repetitive a lot of the time.



They got lost inside their own asses with 10,000 Days. That and that record is literally like half Lateralus B sides.



And I haven’t listened to Fear Inoculum in probably a year so idk how I even feel about that record.

this one just has the most annoying filler tracks. The only one worth a shit is Intermission because it flows so perfectly into jimmy. Forty Six and 2 is just annoying at this point.

I remember no one liked Third Eye at the beginning and then it became everyone's favorite.

After a hundred plus listens forty six and 2 has worn thinner than high school Kompy would have ever dared to presume but it's still a solid nu metal track. think I'd like it more if they switched things up more instrumentally, it kinda feels like a hundred very minor iterations of that same bass groove

it's definitely the tune on this that sounds the most like Undertow which is basic b tool with a shot of odd but i love that album too
