you really need to get out more often

I loved Blackstar, but I think people are pampering it because of Bowie's death

How does crying to Blackstar equate to needing to get out more often? David Bowie has been my favorite artist since I was five years old. Losing him hurt almost as much as losing a friend, and he gave us an album to mollify that. Forever and ever the album will provoke those feelings in me. Context or no, it's powerful art.

I mean Bowie did Blackstar with his death in mind, you can't separate the album from its very obvious intent, even if that's what makes it a modern classic

The production on Outer Isolation is just lame tbh. Album is bad ass though.

These songs take turns being the masterpiece of the album. Still need Collapse, but it's coming, I can feel it.

Just re-bumped the entire album in a dark room, reading the lyrics alongside. Every song feels like the best song now, it's so damn hard to pick one.

Watching Collapse live is what made it so good to me. The emotion of each scream and tempo change was phenomenal.

Nice to see that 4.4 holding.

This and the new Moonsorrow are tops for the year for me. Seriously doubt anything is going to touch them.

it means it's really fucking overcompressed. it took the loudness war like a baseball bat to the head, much like the album itself would do to me if i forgot to turn the volume down
