ITP is a bit of a weird choice, but I think I kind of get the thing about their proggier stuff. The approach to riffing and songwriting changed and I can see how it could be less satisfying for some people.

It’s such a mess to rank Death and then have any kind of discussion about it with others. I have almost no interest at all in anything before Human, but Human and on is a god tier album run. Plenty of people I’m sure feel exactly the opposite way.

Why can't I get into this one? Only real complaint is that nothing sticks out and the vocals feel monotonous. Nothing is BAD, but I just listened to the whole thing again and not once was I like, 'Oh yeaaaaah.' lol

Chuck's higher pitched vox on this are a bit grating. That alone turned me off to this for years.
It's not so much of an issue anymore but I still can't get into this one as much as the others. I usually have to be in the right mood for it, but any other Death album I can jam whenever.
