Don't have many complaints about the new album at all, its a hard 4.5 for me.

Mikael's oversinging is a bit annoying at times, Elysian Woes also cuts off way too early as its just getting started.

But other than that, its their best since GR.

Well it should have been better than Watershed at least

It's more consistent than Watershed but not sure if it's better just yet. On my 4th listen through now.

Certain songs have definitely gotten better after a few listens. Particularly Moon Above, Sun Below and Faith in Others.

Oh yes it does. Had huge Epitaph vibes from it from the first I listened to it. Amazing song though. Top 3 fave for me from the album along with River and Moon Above.

The beginning of Voice of Treason is so badass by the way.

All about that outro and how it fades into Faith in Others, ugh perfect.

So true. Last three songs of PC are all fantastic.

Ye for sure, that's where its at its strongest.

Goblin works really well as a sweet instrumental interlude jam, Elysian Woes is kinda underwhelming tho.

Elysian Woe and Cusp are the only two songs I don't love from PC and they are both still good. Cusp weirdly sounds better in the concept of the album but as an individual song stands a lot weaker compared to the rest of the album.

I'm between a 4 and 4.5 for the new album. Much like Morningrise actually. And yes it's better than Watershed.

Fuck ye Motiv, I don't get the 'its like a more refined Heritage' argument though. I don't get many Heritage vibes from PC, more Ghost Reveries vibes and new things tbh.

PC sounds like a mix of Heritage and GR to me

People on other threads saying the Damnation influence is apparent too? I don't hear it.

I don't get many Heritage vibes at all and if I did I'd probably hate it. PC sounds much more like an
Opeth album to me. I get huge damnation and Ghost Reveries vibes from it.
