"True Friends" is an iffy song. I can see both sides of the argument. It's interesting to hear BMTH attempt emo; however, it's a rather unnecessary inclusion. Not to mention the lyrics are rather childish.

this entire album is garbage and is the epitome of "capitalism rewards creative innovation"

Meh I expected this to be offensively awful but it's more bland than anything else. Lyricism gets a 0/10 and Sykes alternating between processed shit and bad Chester Bennington impressions does not help, but it's not the worst thing I've heard. Avalanche and last song are the cool kind of catchy. Considered giving it a 2.5 but since There is a Hell... got that, it wouldn't seem fair.

It has an 88 on Metacritic but Metacritic is shit so that really doesn't matter.

I don't think it's horrendous. It's a 6/10 at best. It offers close to nothing in substance; however, it does enough to get by. It has a decent aesthetic that makes it somewhat enjoyable. It's just diluted to the point of only offering mass appeal which is its biggest problem
