new track is pretty good but hasn't amazed me really. In way, being the single that's kind of a good thing. I'm not a fan of the single being the best tracks on an album. Probably just me though

Nah I'm the same. It's slightly unspectacular but solid, and I'm quite happy with it that way. As long as it fits in with the album, I'll be happy.

Yeah, I'm fine with a decent but not incredible single. As long as it's interesting enough to get me to listen to the record that's good enough for me. However, there are cases for incredible singles completing an almost perfect album of course too.

I kinda wonder how it'd fare as a single for someone that new to Deftones, however. As an existing fan it's good - an appetite whetter, I suppose - but for someone coming to the band, if this was the first thing I heard I MIGHT pick it up if I had nothing better to do.

I gotta agree with most people that the chorus is pretty underwhelming though. I like it but it definitely could've been better and maybe a little bit longer. It comes and goes so quickly.

They should wait to release Eros until they retire or they are all dead. But not before retirement. I'd like it to be released during a resurgence in popularity of rock or metal as well but that might not come around for awhile.

Yeah a post career Eros release sounds amazing. They could retire and then release an album that they made during the prime of their career.
