Must be the only one who prefers Vital.
This is still a great album, though.

"The hardest part is drawing boundaries so we (especially I) can heal, as we are still incredibly close friends in overlapping social circles."
I wish you luck, buddy. That can be a tough row to hoe.
"Must be the only one who prefers Vital."
If not for the mounds of nostalgia I have for this, I'd prefer it and Lowdown more. Honestly I listen to those way more than this these days.

When Vital came out it wasn't unpopular for people to prefer it to Cities tbh. I don't listen to Anberlin much anymore, but I just checked out the tracklist of Vital and I think it is probably a better album top to bottom, honestly. I just think Cities has a bit more nostalgia and some higher highs -- I find when I do want to listen to Anberlin, I listen to some tracks from this one: Dismantle. Repair. and (*fin) in particular.

This was one of my biggest "coming of age" albums all those years ago. I'm now an old man.

If you love catchy rock/pop(not the bad kind) with tight vocals, solid musicianship with a huge finish and personal lyrics. It’s nothing super fancy but there’s something super nostalgic about it even if you haven’t listened to it.
