Think he explained it a couple of pages back. Seem to remember he's really not a fan of Dave Grohl (among other things).

On another note, read Grohl's autobiography recently, was pretty cool.

I just don't like it Eg, not a huge grunge fan, and don't care for Kurt Cobain's or Dave Grohl's musicianship. Like I said, I do give it credit for being a landmark album of its kind, and rightfully so. It was huge and catapulted the genre into popularity. I remember it clearly. This style of music also buried the style of hard rock and metal that I enjoyed, so I guess there is a personal grind there. AIC, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and I guess Smashing Pumpkins (grunge?) all did it so much better in my opinion of course.

LOL you know you've nailed the angsty garage rock attitude when square kids start smokescreening their unease under the guise of musicianship critiques. am sure that kurt's guitar solos are 100% the reason i, and others, haven't 5'd this.

Born in the 80's, formed in the 90's, lived the 00's, only started to dig pretty solos in the 10's. Still here

As titan rightly says this buried a style of music (showy, stadium rock, hair metal) which has never been seen again.

This album changed the entire scene spoke for millions and did so on its own terms. Fucking amazing.

personal grinds have come to light
"did so on its own terms"
really? agree with most everything else, but you can't talk about how it went so far and stayed there without label discussion (and beyond that kurt, ever the real one, was never exactly shy about his influences)
