I'm not really into morningrise. I love the production so much but it just feels like a lesser Orchid. This, Orchid, BWP, and Still Life are tied honestly. Can't choose a favorite.

Honestly Mikael's cleans on here are actually my favourite he's done even if they're not his best technically. They just have a certain emotional intensity and sincerity to them.

I hardly think that's the general consensus tbh but there's a good number of regular users who think that.

So true, his vocals are a vital part of the atmosphere here because of that. And it's that atmosphere which makes this Opeth's best record.
