But idk if he focuses he can do so gr8, i mean the production on this is pretty immaculate and im pretty sure he was in charge of that



maybe if he tries hard enough and doesnt get caught in the hype of a sequel then his next album could be really good

production is basically the best thing about this. It's not like there's intelligently crafted word play, great flow or things like this on this LP. (of course some people debate that his lyrics are "deeper than they appear" but there's nothing hinting to that)

i honestly think its the guest spots who steal the show on a lot of these tracks. not that Kanye is a bad rapper or anything, I mean he has his moments but he has some real cringeworthy lines as well

Kanye is a mediocre rapper - his flow & delivery are mostly boring, his lyrics are mostly bland or uninteresting but he's a good producer. Guest spots are partly a bit meh, Rihanna makes me cringe and Rick Ross makes me chuckle (only good thing about this dude is his beard).

i'd start with Nas' Illmatic and Wu-tang Clan's 36 Chambers, that's what I did. im not a hip hop enthusiast or anything but you could probably start there
