I can't understand how this disc can be defined as 'perfection'.
Perfection as musical perfection? Perfection as in the highest summit of the genre? but then again does perfection really exist?
Is it the perfect representation of certain atmospheres? Arguably.
Yet it achieves what it means to achieve and it's a great musical experience. And I remember really hating this when I bought the disc 4-5 years ago. Glad to have changed my mind anyway

pretty much all art is imperfect and I don't find it v interesting to define this as a masterpiece by how imperfect it is (although fans of the supposed correct version of that logic should go jam Set Fire To Flames since it crystalizes all the almost nonmusical spirit of GYBE) but more by how bare and nuanced it connects to our feels (+ fantasms of life sparks in the destroyed world for some)

the CD is the longer version, so you'll get the full experience, however if you're a newcomer I think you should start with Skinny Fists, it is more accesible in my opinion
