My only complaint about ETID towards the end of their run was that their sound was getting pretty “samey” for me, I’ll miss Keith with this new project but I’d be lying if I said I’m not excited about the new lineup/group. Greg is a powerhouse and the band is definitely more experimental (so far)

The last 3 records did hit kind of samey I agree but they're also my 3 favorite ETID records so it's fine.
But yeah Gregory Time I Die is sounding sick as fuck so far.

My brother is a huge ETID fan and was just like “it just sounds like a Dillinger song. His voice is too distinct”
mf what? Yeah, Greg is definitely easy to pick out but this sounds nothing like Dillinger, and I don’t even think it sounds all that much like ETID either.

I mean, it sounds kinda generic either way, which makes sense given the ETID boys apparently just sent Greg the audio track and he did the vox on top - hardly a considered collaboration. Hoping whatever they do in the future comes together better. Still hyped as balls.

oh I was under the impression a full album was coming, like, soon. Is this all they’ve recorded?

I hope I’m mistaken - reading the nme article (https://www.nme.com/news/music/dillinger-escape-plan-every-time-i-die-members-announce-new-supergroup-better-lovers-3432005) it looks like I may be as they refer to tracks rather than track

'The newly-formed group is comprised of former Dillinger frontman Greg Puciato, Every Time I Die members Jordan Buckley and Steven Micciche, Fit For An Autopsy guitarist Will Putney, and Orbs’ drummer Clayton ‘Goose’ Holyoak.'
bruh does whoever wrote that article not realise clayton was in every time i die??

damn fr i feel like the last three are their least same-y albums
gutter & bug dirty are the most same-y imo. think started making it a point to add a bit more variety to their tracklists starting with ex lives

"mf what? Yeah, Greg is definitely easy to pick out but this sounds nothing like Dillinger, and I don’t even think it sounds all that much like ETID either."
There were some moments in there that were straight ETID though with the southern style riffing but for the most part it was not ETD/TDEP entirely at all.
