"no you just don't like this as much as a lot of other people, and that's fine.
like i know you guys need to find a way to get superiority complexes and overcomplicate subjective shit with twenty something k posts of "discussion" but jesus christ sometimes its okay to just pull back the facades and admit you've got an opinion and so does someone else and neither are wrong because it's music and no one is going to convince anyone else of anything"
no normally i'd agree with you but this is way i said "i feel" and "imo" cos even when I try to take a more objective POV I can't really see the 4.4 this has. I'm sure people love this for good reasons but this album felt pre-made to be some critically acclaimed cultural juggernaut and i wonder if it totally earnt it. feels like there's a lot of filler here. gkmc had way better songs. everyone listens to shit like backseat freestyle, money trees etc. tbh I haven't found myself in many situations where people have put on a track from this to blaze up to.
how much a dollar cost is 4.5/5 though

When I said social impact, I was referring to how "Alright" is being used as somewhat of an anthem in black rights protests. I'd consider that socially impactful.

i dont even care if people like this or whatever or like it at face value more than his other shit, in that sense yes of course its a subjective thing, i just want to know in what ways those albums arent quite original themselves
i dont expect an answer tho because i p sure they were just making up reasons etc
no big deal stay posi jam kdot

like, did this have a social impact, or does it just reflect existing societal issues
well more-so the latter but given kendrick's popularity in the mainstream...
i would say that critics are holding the social impact thing higher than the reality of the thing tho
