I have listened to ASOB, but that was the same time as when I listened to BTMI last year and then didn't listen to them for ages. Haven't listened to ASOB since so I don't really remember much
Never jammed Streetlight, probably should

ASOB and Streetlight are the only ska bands I still listen to (unless you count BTMI), definitely worth listening to

I don't know. Can't really. You should just listen to Everything Goes Numb and I think you'll see I'm at least justified in thinking so. Look up the lyrics if you wanna catch it all though. They sing lightning fast.

rowan you'd probably love Streetlight, at least in terms of lyrics. Tom's not a great singer (better than Jeff though I'd say) but fuckin' brilliant lyrics. and the music's always awesome and energetic too, though the band doesn't seem to change up their style much. which is okay, cause it's awesome.
check everything goes numb it's p much flawless

Still listen to a ton of Reel Big Fish and a few other ska bands. The genre will never die for me.

i never got into the poppy fun stuff... tho ive never jammed much RBF.
my favourite part of ska punk was always the energy and especially the influence from hardcore punk. i like it to be, yknow, punk.

Old Reel Big Fish is great. They should have stopped after We're Not Happy though. Ska will never die for me either. Every
time I think I'm done with it, another band peaks my interest. I hope BTMI wasn't the end of that run.

@demi I think Jeff has a badass voice so if he's better than Jeff I can dig it

Choking Victim is one of my favorite ska bands. And I agree with you completely. The genre actually has way more shit than good bands. But when I find a ska band I like, I find a ska band I LOVE.

I've never actively listened to RBF, but I "saw" them live with Streetlight once. by "saw" I mean we went out to my friends car and pounded beers halfway through the set because they were just eh to us

Reel Big Fish got me into ska, I guess. Seeing them play with Streetlight probably would have been too much awesome for my brain to handle.

yeah I really wish I had liked them, it would have been an allstar show
and actually I do still listen to the occasional Choking Victim and Leftover Crack so I guess ska isn't THAT dead to me
