I don't know how you could come to that conclusion. this album has the largest amount of revolutionary and memorable melodies I've ever heard in one place. the chords are just nuts. not all songs by all bands need to adhere to a certain structure in order to be good. and as I'm sure others have said, this album favors textures. if it had tight pop structures to the songs it wouldn't work well imo. the lyrics are great, every song is distinct, seems like great songwriting to me
