Yet to hear the new track (just... ... ...haven't), but Greg Puciato fronting the majority of former ETID band members, seems like THE most logical thing in the history of logic.

"Better Lovers" is a pretty crap name though.

there's like half a dozen bands featuring different combinations of converge and cave in members... and i see no negatives of etid and dillinger doing the same thing (besides... like... the actual bands not being together anymore)

unlike most of you, not the biggest fan of the new track, felt a bit generic

New song is fine but it's missing Keith's delivery. Dude was getting better and better with each album.

New song is missing something for me, still not sure. Second half rips hard as shit, though. Def want to hear more

One thing I just don't understand is: They said Andy is not in the band cause he can't tour (understandable), but then instead of Andy they have Putney in the band who doesn't even tour with his own main band. Make it make sense?

could be andy doing etid and aew was worth it to him... but maybe doing aew and an entirely new band wasn't??? also might think being in the band while not touring is half-assing it and he doesn't want to do that

dude kinda got saved by the pandemic in a way but i can't imagine the physical toll of playing 5 etid shows a week and/or wrestling multiple aew/independent matches a week for the 12 months he did actually do both. iirc he didn't even really contribute to this album because of his aew schedule, and then played like half the tour with a fractured wrist he got wrestling

also, rumor has it that every wrestler at aew is vastly overpaid there vs. what they'd get anywhere else. andy isn't like an essential part of the show really but he probably makes more money doing that per year than like 5 years of etid tours. wrestlers who don't even get on tv apparently make well north of six figures and andy gets quite a bit of tv time when he's around

andy isn't in the band because it seems like he wants to focus on AEW 100% right now

not that hard to understand

Now Keith and the members of DEP need to form a band in retaliation.

You guys are missing the point. What I am wondering about is: Andy not in band cause he can't tour being replaced by Putney who also doesn't tour.

@johnfire the difference is andy seemingly doesn't want to be in the band at all if he isn't able to tour and do everything 100%, while putney does.

Makes sense a little, he does produce music nowadays. It is crazy that his band Fit For An Autopsy doesn't tour with him if that is what you're saying

Yeah that’s what I meant. I mean, maybe I’m wrong but that would feel like Converge without Kurt.

I don't think I ever told this story, but this album literally broke my ass. When it dropped in 2008 I went on a hike at night to jam it, and I wound up listening to it 3 times in a row in a secluded park while swinging on a swingset. It was a fantastic time. I wake up the next day and my ass cheeks are just destroyed. Pulled pork. Couldn't move for like 2 days.

Good times
