Savatage, Lost Horizon, Wuthering Heights, Mastodon, Tarot, Nightwish, After Forever, Kamelot, Iced Earth, Arch Enemy, DragonForce...
I could go on, but I think the point is clear.

Steerpike, I'm not trying to say that your wrong for giving this a one, I'm just saying that, in my opinion, a band with this much talent, even if they are annoying and don't show it, deserves a little better. Also, guys, if Manifest thinks this is one of the better metal albums, than let him. Who the fuk are you to tell him he's wrong? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean anybody who does is wrong. Jesus Christ, and I don't even like this album!

I didn't rate it anything. I don't own it, and based on what songs I've heard I have no desire to own it.
I'm just saying that, in my opinion, a band with this much talent, even if they are annoying and don't show it, deserves a little better.

That's not an excuse to make a shitty album. Who the band is should not excuse an album sucking. If the reviewer believes it deserves a one, he shouldn't change it just because of who the band is.
Also, guys, if Manifest thinks this is one of the better metal albums, than let him. Who the fuk are you to tell him he's wrong?

And what about me expressing my perspective on the issue? Why am I not allowed to do that? I'm not attacking him, just pointing out that I can hardly see this album being impressive in the wake of so much more being available out there.

Alex never attacks people on their views, he just points out his opinion on the album. And he also royally owns people who say stupid shit. I've never heard him attack somebody who respectfully posts their opinion. He just attacks people who attack others, or who make really retarded points.

Alright, I'll give it to him. He wins. I just don't like seeing bands mindlessly flamed. I didn't direct anything at him or anybody else on my first post, and I mean absolutely no disrespect to the three guys (steerpike, shattered future, and mudvaynian) that told me I was wrong. There just seems to be a lot of people who just bash Trivium because they are Trivium. Others make valid points, and I respect that.

And for clarification, I would never rate an album just based on the fact that I like the band. Maybe I wasn't clear enough, my bad. I mean that there is some above-average music on The Crusade, and I think that deserves some credit. There are many, many, many albums and bands that I hate more than this (such as Slipknot), and so I chose not to give it a one. Disagreeing is fine. Telling someone their wrong about music they like is not, at least that's what I think.

Alright, so this album isn't good, but Shadows Fallen, come on man! No disrespect, since this review kicks the **** out of anything I would have wrote, but does this really deserve a 1? It really doesn't, at least I think. Is this really worse than almost every other album you've ever rated? Pretty bad music, but even Trivium deserve more respect than that...

You contradicted yourself several times in this message. You admit that the music is nothing great but question why I dislike it? Yes, this is one of the most repulsive albums I've heard in metal, and whether or not you think they deserve more credit is entirely subjective.

Is it just me or does the instrumental track stink of a poor mix of Metallica's "Orion" and Dream Theater's "Stream Of Conciousness"?

From the samples, i'd give it a 3. I mean, it's a lot better than that crap they were calling music before this album. Some of it is actually sort of catchy.

Yeah, that post was really a mess, and didn't explain what I really think. Checking back on the other album reviews that you have done, I notice that you only gave one other a one. All I really meant is to ask if you truly think this is worse than every other one of those albums. Is this music really as bad as PsyOpus (who I looked up, and who really suck)? Worse than Seether and As I Lay Dying? The music really isn't anything great, but it is better than those two bands (at least in my mind). So, I apologize for the retarted first post, this is what I meant to say.

You're asking questions to which you already know the answer. Why is your perspective on good and bad music somehow more... official, for lack of a better word, than someone else's?

I did not mean to reask the question, as I know that no one here really wants me to, and I understand now that if he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it. My first post was very fanboyish, and I felt the need to defend it. The latter post was just what I was trying to ask the first time, that i fucked up. I'd like to drop this whole thing, if it's all the same to you.

Just as well. Believe me, questioning someone on an opinion they've already gone to great lengths to back up goes nowhere very quickly.

And my perspective is not more official than anyone else's, I'm sorry if that was conveyed in any of my messages. Maybe I'm just bad with words... Anyway, that's all I have left to say on this matter.
