Zak bro I remember it and remember where I heard it for the first time. We were at the park we hung out at and my main man came up with the cassette in his hand. Another buddy of mine had a walkman with an external speaker. We lit a J, the rest is smoke bro...

Fear of the duck
I have a constant fear that Donald's always near

Brain it with a lead pipe and stick it in a pancake with soy sauce and cucumbery bits.

i need to go through this and no prayer again at some point but i dont feel a heavy desire
|
| |
yeah no prayer is kind of a slog just because it came off the back of such an incredible run of albums

First Maiden for me. Obviously your first is never forgotten. Every track takes me back. And objectively good imo. The Fugitive for example.

I have some great memories with this too. Listened a lot to it when I had moved away from home and lived in an unisolated first floor over a parachute factory.
Some mornings my bedroom was actually freezing, great times.

When I was young, I would buy compilations and live albums, because they offered more material for less money. I had bought Live at Donington and Flight 666 from these guys and then downloaded the rest and I would listen to them ALL . THE . TIME . for years. Mad love about Fear of the Dark and it has some so underrated songs (Afraid to Shoot Strangers, Wasting Love, Chains of Misery, Childhood's End)

"Childhood's End"
That one's a gem for sure, especially the second half because the verses in the first are a bit dodgy
|

Still like it more than anything they've done post reunion. Including BNW.

BNW has a strong first half and then it kind of drags, and that's something to be said for all their albums in the reunion era. FOTD is straightforward. I don't think I like it *more* though..

Yeah their reunion albums can drag here and there, but overall they're def better than this and a few other 90s albums imo
