Dude to me it’s honestly just so unbelievable that they managed to top Rouge this easily.

RCD still is king, but this is a very easy AOTY contender

Nah this clears RCD.
Both masterpieces tho you're really splitting hairs between the two

This has its moments for sure, but I prefer RCD by quite a bit

I think RCD is pretty much perfect for what it was going for. A super catchy revival of that classic emocore sound, but this is on another level. Far more ambitious songwriting and pulling from more old school sounds and it paid off so well. I think I like the production here more too, RCD sounds cleaner for sure but this is a little grittier and I think it suits their sound perfectly.
Idk man I think this thing is fucking flawless. Closest thing to a criticism I have is that maaaaaaybe Classic.Death.Pose is a little aimless, it kinda felt like they needed a heavy song and they just chucked it right there. And that’s me stretching, I fucking love this record man

I guess I prefer the super catchy emocore revival sound ha! Hospice and Lip Critic are where it's at here for me. Classic Death Pose among my least faves, too

Hospice was initially my least favorite bc I thought it was slightly too MCR coded but maaaan does that chorus hit like crack.

Olli is a fucking hook machine literally every chorus he comes up with ends up living in your head rent-free at some point
