I mean
Is it really bloated, or is it just hard to pay attention cuz it's over 40 mins long? Like I said I find it to be pretty engaging through the majority of its runtime.

Like there is probably an excellent 55 - 60 min album in here somewhere. But if u cut too much of it out, it will start to lose its identity

overstuffed at suppertime
doesn't the fact you said 'excellent 55 - 60 min album' allude to the fact it may be a touch on the porky side? It is very good at what it wants to do in all honesty, I just don't wanna listen to it very often (and yes, the length is part of that)

Nah it's bloated. It does one thing really well and never meaningfully strays from it. There's not enough variation to justify the length.
It's the progressive death metal equivalent of if Motorhead released a 90 minute album. Great at that one thing they do (which is why my score is a 3.5, I do like this album) but it doesn't need to be as long as it is and would arguably be better if the songwriting was tighter. If you're going to use all that time, then do something with that extra time, don't just do more of what you've already done to the point where it suffers for it.
