I wish they didn't use a fade out three times on here. Some of those endings could have been super nice hypnotic groove jams, that could have been very sweet.

Opeth has used like all of the endings in their discog. Now when you say it it's pretty strange they don't seem fixated(enough) over it this time around.

I don't feel that way about fade outs. Some of my favorite songs fade out on the last riff. Pretty easy to end a song honestly. I really don't think that's the issue

yeah that riff is easily the weakest moment on the album, good thing they didn't prolong it futher than they did there, the transition at 2:11 almost makes up for it. damn, now I joined the negatives here. EXPEL ME
