Someone on reddit claims that Jordan showed them snippets of new material last year and it was all drop A shit like Better Lovers on steroids. It'd make sense for Greg to leave if he's not wanting to do a bunch of heavy music since I believe he said he was kind of past doing that.

lol nice. not too surprising if true, dark distance sounds like it was tuned lower than any other etid song I can remember

Would be so sick if they got Scogin
I'm just glad Greg left on good terms and there's no bad blood. Dude just has too much on his plate and probably wants to focus on Black Queen and his solo stuff.

it’s not gonna happen with scogin you’re all delusional

Idk man I don’t even really want it to be him more than anyone else specifically but I really think he’s the most likely.
I remember people saying getting Greg would be a pipe dream too
Tbh I think they’ll be fine whoever they go with, I feel like they’re big enough and have enough pull to get whoever they need

what do u mean man didn’t they basically begin the band with him?

Scogin might be too hardcore Christian for the lifestyle of the other members

i think all three of the moor, fear and trembling, and dark distance use that drop-a octave tuning. maybe indian giver too
in better lovers they seem to just use a pedal tho, judging by sacrificial participant? been a while since i heard this album tho

It’s gonna be some rando probably but if they do less cleans I might actually get into this band, the poppy choruses kinda ruin them for me

Their choruses don’t hit like Greg era Dillingers did

Maybe not on this but Sacrificial Participant is for sure one of Greg’s best choruses ever

I know we're kinda goofing at this point but I thought of a replacement that would probably work but idk if he'd be into it at all... Daryl Palumbo

I could imagine Scogin, Palumbo or Jason from Letlive stepping in but all of them are highly unlikely, Jason being the most realistic one I guess although I don't know if his extremely wild persona would be matching with the other guys on a long-term. Brent Mills from Greyhaven would be sick but that would also imply no more greyhaven = big sad

guess that Greg truly is over his heavy music phase, fair play, thanks for the EP, LP, and singles
