Masc is good, but it's a sound that you're somewhat more likely to hear from a band not named Chat Pile (compared to everything else on the album). It doesn't hit in that signature Chat Pile way.

The lyrics on shame are pretty sobering, it's probably my favorite track
The demonic growls in the mid section are such an effective contrast to the otherwise mellow atmosphere, I wish there was some more of them on other tracks

I didn't get this band a few years ago but now they hit like a ten ton hammer. They sound like a mix between Nirvana, Meshuggah and Jesus Lizard. Love the sound on this last one.
