@odal yeah just listened to both new camilla singles and gotta imagine those songs are what the demons and gabbas hear when they hear this album. this style is a hell of a lot less fun when it is as sanitized as those tracks are.

also looked up those katy perry pictures and that is just embarrassing. if i didn't know better i would think that WAS charli

""Sympathy" feels like the sibling of "Gone" "

was on the verge of posting this for several pages but held back because I couldn't be bothered to work out exactly why it slaps where Gone kinda trundles, but yes it v much does

and ugh pika you have reminded me that I'm gonna have to decide if this or new TWICE is currently pop of the year

“i luv it” is godawful. the “lemonade” interpolation and carti feature cant even save it

no worries @Odal, I've been worse to other people

I'm still open-minded enough to give this a listen (if that counts), but this kind of "pop" is just not for me

besides, imagine someone dissing contemporary death metal or progressive house, would they be regarded as boomers? the label has a negative connotation, but no meaning in this context imo

Realtalk has Charli written anything for TWICE besides Girls Like Us

(am guessing no because of how easily recognisable she is on that one but)

yeah, my AOTY of last year was somewhere within the pop spectrum, just a very different corner of it. It's not as tho I trash everything that leans even slightly in this direction. There are just many different flavas, as there are with other genres
