yeah Erra is definitely one of those bands where you either came in at the right time or you're way beyond them and it just isn't picking up for you

ikr, Volumes dropped their second single with an album release less then two months away but I feel like it's been years since Echo Sonata with zero announcements

I hate it cause it kills the momentum. Like I literally adore those two tracks but it’s gonna be wack when the album drops and I’ve heard those two 100x already

my guess is they're about to drop a third single with a sick ass music video with an album announcement attached, fingers crossed anyway 😬

You can't allow yourself to jam new tracks multiple times with these absolutely degenerate rollout cycles that are happening nowadays. It has gotten to the point where I actively try to ignore it when my favorite bands or artists release new singles because I still gotta wait 100 years for the payoff (the album).
I think it has become like this because for younger music listeners, the singles themselves are the payoff, and the album as a whole isn't as valuable in their music-listening habits.

oooooooh my absolute favorite is when I ignore a single I love after the first listen and then a year later they end up not even putting it on the damn album (Novelists - Eyes Wide Shut)

The roll outs are trash but I’m usually ok with listening to several singles before the drop. But with them doing 2 and then radio silence it’s pretty wack
