I actually like neon but I would not say it is one of their best. The twinkly lead guitar sound isn't for everyone but it is rather compressed, that is most likely what you all are referring to. This is more of a stylistic choice which many people seem to dislike on this site. I would not say neon is outright terrible as it was my introduction to this band and I did enjoy it at the time. sleeper is so good yea def one of my favs. honestly the high points off neon and drift are about the same to me i just think neons floor is lower and it hangs together less well as an album
