I wasn't sold on first listen but I have to admit Dan is absolutely killing it on Legion, even if it's over the top. Must be absolute hell to sing the last part live tho

but I am not hearing this egregious autotune you're talking about.
Mmh it's pretty hearable, but might just be me as I am a producing my music and now able to detect when autotune is active and doing something that is not so subtle.
Again don't mean to boast but I just don't think he needs it that much, I am not a fan of the production at all for this disc.

i do music prod as well and this has no more pitch correction than the average album since that was introduced and no obvious vocoding enough where i can really hear the plugin working. he is pretty layered in other stuff tho

^ yeah I think this was my point, I don't find the general pitch correction distracting in the slightest but can understand if you wouldn't be into the heavy layering going on. There are some points where he's pretty obviously flat for example and I've seen him point out that these takes were kept in to give it a more authentic feel.

I'm really coming around on this one. Certainly is more of a grower than I was expecting.
My buddy and I just got plane tickets to Vancouver for the Oct 27 show! They're not hitting any ~truly~ Canadian dates, so I guess I'm traveling for a concert for the first time in my life.
