As an album A Matter of Life and Death even rivals their "classic" albums, mainly due to the consistency problems that a lot of the albums from the classic era suffered from.
I think AMOLAD is much more interesting than this both musically and in terms of song writing. This tries too hard to be anthemic and catchy at times.

I agree this tries too hard to rehash the anthemic vibe and all. I didn't care for much of their post-X Factor albums tbh. I like how different X Factor is, and it's got some great tunes.
