yeah you should give that a spin, yes it's instrumental but it's still pretty good. imagining him doing a side project with another vocalist actually sounds transcendent but I doubt anything like that will ever happen, but yeah that would be pretty interesting

Agreed about missing P1 and P2. To me P1 IS Periphery. I liked P4 too and stuff on some of the other albums. But P5 is a mixed bag with some cool stuff on it, and I'm not finding much to hold onto on the new one. They just sounded like a hungrier band back then

these guys have their own record label now, they took a gamble on leaving Sumerian because they felt they had ways to market their prowess instead of just relying on merch to keep them fed, as opposed to diminishing returns from Sumerian's ticket sales. upon working side hustles with pickup mfg's and pedal mfg's, they've been able to keep shit going, a band still well within a niche genre, and no where near as financially successful as their successors. most other bands would have called it quits a long time ago but we still get something from these guys and I respect the hell out that

oh yeah for sure, totally respect their hustle. it's remarkably impressive that they've gone from demos on soundcloud to a behemoth. and yeah i've separated the eras and know it won't be the same, still dig a lot of what they're doing. just saying i miss the old stuff because of how unique it was.

Got a luscious V of hair, going from my chest pubes down to my ball fro, and she takes one look at me, and she goes "Oh my god. I've had the old bull, now I want the young calf" and their new album grabs me by the weiner
