That’s probably whole heartedly true and I am sad about it

Wait they hired songwriters for the new one? Wtf why?

Because all the talent has left this band over the past 10 years.

I gotta wholeheartedly agree with the general opinion of that review, this is just plain ol’ soulless, nothing about that album elicits any emotion, non at all

Checked this album out cuz Mimsy said I'd hate it. He wasn't wrong, this altrockcore shit is ass. I hadn't heard an album since Dead Throne. Excited to see how bad the new one is by comparison given the comments

^ if you enjoyed dead throne / zombie back in the day, I would recommend you checking out zombie 2. way better than this album.

Like the first zombie ep, it is just 5 tracks and it is really solid all the way through. If you enjoy it, Transit Blues is the bands final really solid album (2016). Shame they took such a turn towards radio-friendly "metalcore" after

i jumped off at the exact right point lol

The fact that they hired songwriters for the new one is disappointing tbh. Especially when it leads to lyrics that read like they could've been from one of the past two Linkin Park albums lol

Not only did they hire ghostwriters, but Kyle was also completely excluded from the writing process. No wonder there's not a single memorable riff on the new album. In fact, I couldn't rattle off a single memorable moment in general. Listened to it last night and completely forgot about it after the fact.
Then I listened to Zombie as a palate cleanser and it just made me depressed how far we've fallen

The Twitterites are saying people only think the album is bad because it's not heavy.

Its weird how the band is essentially fully intact since Transit Blues but they have lost any hint of character.
Jeremy and Mike are the only two members left though since Dead Throne so makes sense how the bands identity shifted so much and they have the real sway over writing (Not someone like Kyle who has only been around since Transit Blues)

My life is exponentially better for not spending a minute of my time on Twitter.
Yeah, this band feels more like a business endeavor than an actual band now. They really wanted those streaming numbers with the new one... probably why they dropped half the album as singles. Oh and surprise surprise the other half ended up being even more dull. (besides All Out which is pretty good)

Yeah not being on Twitter was also really good for my mental health lol

I don't think I am going to bother. Too much other good stuff to check out. I essentially skipped this one too.
Twitter is kind of fun. Lots of off the wall takes. I often find myself in places that feel like an alternate reality... its at least not the bland echo chambers I have encountered in so many other places.

i'm strictly on twitter for sports. still an elite experience, so much funny stuff and the easiest way to get instant news.
