I agree with you moment, this new UO slaps imo. Spencer did his thing on this one. You have to listen to it with an open mind. Disambiguation had me feeling some type of way when it first came out but now I freaking love that album. Going back and watching the UO guys talk about the production of this album made me appreciate even more. Where they were coming from and the rifts in the band prior made this one hit hard for me. Do I like Disambiguation more? Yes but I like this new one to.

I’ve listened with an open and closed mind, and Spencer’s thing now is sick screams and bad cleans with worse lyrics over boring ass music

i dont think its that bad but a lot of the lyrics feel like they needed a rewrite on this

nash I agree with you on the new lyrics, they are kinda sappy. No where near the level of Disambiguation in terms of artistry. But musically UO is back in the right direction imo or at least headed that way.

Lyrically, I think they were beating around the bush so-to-speak on disambiguation in terms of how they felt with interfaith matters. Whereas this new UO they just flat out told the listeners how they feel now in terms of their faith. I liked what they were trying to convey lyrically, but wasn't really impressed with their approach. I think spencer could have made it more poetic, I guess is the word i am looking for.

They flat out told listeners in the most childish, immature way possible too.
"Hey guys we drop F bombs now that we aren't down with the christian cultists anymore!!1!"

yeah you are right, it was almost like "hey we use f-bombs now to make us sound more like a jaded hipster". I would describe spencer's lyrics as lazy or not well thought out. Did he get his message across? yea he did, but it was kind of shallow, I was wanting more depth lyrically. He did enough to get the job done.

I'm not sure what was more of a culture shock, when Underoath started swearing or when Linkin Park started swearing
Funny how both bands turned to garbage as soon as the words escaped their lips

Shinoda dropping f bombs in Bleed It Out sounds so funny. At least the one in Given Up kinda sounds natural.

"Can confirm the digital ghosts version sounds a lot better."
agreed. hallelujah is one that is greatly improved, spencer sounds amazing and that loop is way less obnoxious and in your face

i think every dg version is a huge improvement even the songs i dont really like on here i can get behind more on dg, tho it obv doesnt solve everything. but ya hallelujah works much better when the chant is dialed back volume wise and the emphasis is placed on the riff instead, plus spencer all around sounds insane on the stream. vocal highlight of dg is probably the end of out of luck dude drops some siick fuckin lows

DG version should have been the official version I'll keep saying this
