“john otto was the most talented member of this band”
Talk like the dude is dead lol and also, might come as a surprise, but everyone in the band is really talented

The ideas he had for Eat the Day were really good too, it's a shame nothing really came from it until 20 years later.

Gotta disagree. If this was full of tasty riffs and completed songs but the lyrics were just a little goofy, I would agree with you. But as a whole this album quickly spirals into a hodgepodge of half-baked, cringeworthy moments that I would barely consider songs. Also... Fred should decide to either take the band seriously or just take a piss with it because those ballads are pretty good but the switch between serious and tongue in cheek is too jarring.

After a brutal run through their discography, I can confidently say this is Limp Bizkit’s best album. But picking a favorite Limp Bizkit album is like choosing a favorite dental procedure.

This band has red hot chili peppers syndrome. Everyone in the band is talented except the main attraction

I kind of agree with Walrus. Don't Change right after Turn it up, Bitch is really really jarring. Both good tracks though.

Atrocious album, though I'm not too sure what else to expect from Fred Durst at this point. The gy is alarmingly untalented.

Three listens in, it's sitting at around a 3. Not quite as solid on repeat listens, and there's a couple of tracks that barely even register (Worst in Me, 12.Empty Hole, Pill Popper.) Love the Hate is offensively bad, and just gets worse with each listen, and Fred Durst really shouldn't have bothered with the Jonathan Davis/David Draiman screaming, as it's pretty damn awful (and sound like a desperate attempt to keep up with the snotty new scene upstarts...from twenty years ago). The slow tracks are also pretty meh, aside from Goodbye, which is quite good.
That said, Rotten Bizkit, Dad Vibes, Turn It Up Bitch and Snacky Poo are genuinely good tracks, and Barnacle is a so-bad-it's-good guilty pleasure. Out of Style and Goodbye are a half-step below, and everything else struggles to catch up.
RANKING (3 listens in):
1. Snacky Poo
2. Dad Vibes
3. Rotten Bizkit
4. Turn It Up Bitch
5. Barnacle
6. Goodbye
7. Out of Style
8. Don't Change
9. Empty Hole
10. You Bring Out The Worst In Me
11. Pill Popper
12. Love the Hate

Yeah, but that screaming though. Also, I tend to forget it exists - in my mind, the album goes from Don't Change straight to Love the Hate. I'm always surprised to find there's no less than three songs in the middle there.
