Been on these guys sing Align, Deathless Ringing knocked my fuckin socks off and it's great to see them improve in the aggregate over time. Stoked to hear this.

Deathless Ringing is up there as one of their best songs.

I would be quite disappointed if this truly was recorded note by note. Watching some real playthroughs of the band for other songs I'm sure that is not the case.

This is growing on me a lot. They definitely improved dramatically on the sound from their first 2 albums.

Yeah, rules. Their best yet.

The production on this is SO GOOD.*Sort of* cold, clean and mechanical, but also lush, expansive, and organic at the same time.

Biomechanical? Seems to be what they were going for. Completely nailed that aspect.

Is note by note recorded even really a thing? I can't see how that would work out very well from an efficiency perspective?

It sounds even more difficult than actually sitting down and practicing the song lol

I know this is incredibly talented and technical, but when the vocals are isolated I actually started to chuckle at its absurdity.

Some solid moments when they actually slow down for a bit though. I think I'd love this band if they were able to find an organic way to build up to that ludicrous speed & transition out of it, because they clearly have the chops to do it, and it's at times impressive as hell.

i might enjoy it more if they would chill a bit too but i think this is just what they enjoy doing

Honestly, their first 2 albums sounds exactly like they weren't chilling/slowing down at all and it definitely hurt them. This one still has the over the top/super noodle-y tech death stuff a fair amount but there's a huge improvement in terms of the riffs and song writing here.

Oh yeah. Heard they recorded note by note the scale they use here. Then all the writing etc was put together by the producer XD
