o you mean the game where music is a cheap buffet and you check everything off after 1 bite and then puke bc that is how buffets work?

change 'buffet' to 'dive bar' and you're mostly correct. when the bar's open you go til you puke and then you go again.

ok nice
wanna remark on the huge pointlessness of consuming music for the sake of immediately forgetting it, but i have just rated this album so
|
| |
also jfc i thought that album title was coincidental, but Invading the World of the Guilty as a Spirit of Vengeance ??? it's like it's still twenty fuckin eleven

Our dreams get drowned in a river of present needs,
The years float by like fallen leaves
Can't think of a better set of lyrics to be repeated so many times

the world... line is a cornball and a rly underwhelming finale, but the dreams one lands like a treat

I believe David Bello and the singer from For Everest (who is on the last song of this album) are in a relationship. Also For Everest are great.
About the whole Nicole drama, I believe she was married to Katie which might have made matters worse with people picking sides and stuff. Also Dylan Balliett left the band after AF and there was some drama with that departure as well.
This album is amazing. I do love Between Bodies as well and I love that they got the spoken word artist back for the final song for this one.
I saw them open for mewithoutYou a couple of years ago, I think Nicole was still in the band and it was right after Harmlessness came out. They were great live as well.

This album is pretty great but those last two songs are a slog. Cut each of them by nine minutes and they still say the same thing.
|
| |
last songs go by super fast for me wouldn't cut them down at all
|
| |
the entire second half of Infinite Josh is extraneous postrock jank, amputate that asap
final 5 minutes and first 3 of Fewer Afraid also deserve the chop, but both tracks have the album's best parts so kudos ig
