@TheMrAlexK

Absolute banger, incredible how an album with this much diversity has so many genuinely heavy moments.

I also really despise Enter Shikari, they're in the same line of offenders of mixing like really cool bits with absolute cheesey lines or questionable electro woop choices

well despise is a bit strong, but they're probably the band that has disappointed me the most, constantly, in the last decade. good single and then I wish I never actually listened to the whole disc (each time same feeling)

After listening to this more than once I don't feel this is anywhere near average. It's at least a good if not great record. I mean there are bands trying to do a similar thing and I can't even stomach most of them at all. I'd say this is a cut above as far as songwriting goes, and their best material since Sempiternal. I'm obviously a little biased when it comes to BMTH but just to clarify I hated their last 2 LPS outside of a couple songs. This surprised me.

The chorus of Kingslayer is genuinely hilarious to me; it reads like Jack Sparrow by The Lonely Island lmao

The rest of the song is so serious and the chorus is unadulterated cheese

I found the feature pretty offputting initially, but I have never been into Babymetal. With repeat listens it grew on me, I really dig the track now, most fun on the album imo.

Man this album is trash. Teardrops is cool. The rest is pretty wack with few moments of nonwackness. What happened to everyone's hearing?

Baby metal is the kind of thing that is pretty funny for 15 seconds but then it becomes annoying. Can't imagine listening to an entire album.

probably has something to do with american culture conditioning and how we view our musicians as superior to nonwestern musicians subconsciously

Except I'm not American. Plus I love Japanese culture so I should like it but I don't. I didn't affirm they had less quality or something but that they were annoying. Like I said, mixing kawaii with metal is funny for about 15 seconds.

This is surely a load of bollocks, and I feel sorry for anyone who does think like this.
