honestly I hardly pay attention to the lyrics on any The Ocean release, but the emotion through the vocals are quite resonant, that's why I like loic, not for his lyrics

Well they are lyrics written by a 2nd language speaker, that's for sure, but I wouldn't call them "shit". Like the ending of Jurassic yeah it's in your fucking nose blatant but damn if it's not good pre-breakdown shit lol
Anyway Triassic is also a really nice song, while Palaeocene imho is the worst song of the two discs, but it's also just 4 minutes and the ending is nice.
I'm at 3.5 now, hopefully I'll appreciate it more with time

yup the lyrics are hardly a vital part in their music, like with most metal bands
i don't really vibe with loïc's "emotion" or whatever in his vocals though, he's a pretty good singer but that's about it. the sound is absolutely huge though and that's what makes the themes fit
