I think he's got a good voice but it feels out of place at times with the djenty stuff. But I've gotten acquired to that as well

I used to eat prog up but I guess it's just not really my thing anymore.

I've long since fallen off the prog train but oddly enough, my two favourite metal albums this year are prog metal (this and Burden of Life. check it out, boys)

I spun Burden of Life too, solid stuff but also didn't really do it for me *shrug*

Canary Yellow feels like a near a near identical alternative version of Salt by Leprous.

Cant help but think of it when I listen to it, anyone else maybe feels the same?

After 5 or so spins, still feel they could've made this so much better had they given it enough time. Think I'll land on a 4 when I finally decide to rate it. Shame tho, this had quite some potential

"New FW as well? Prog is going nuts on 2020"

I know right. Petrucci's releasing a solo album as well, and possible Riverside maybe? :O

POSSIBLE RIVERSIDE, OMFG DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT

Edit: Now that I did a quick search on their fb page, I didn't find any mention to recording or composing. That being said, three out of four Riverside members have put out or planning on releasing new music this year, so let's be fair, they have done more than enough.

Anyway, it's going to be prog year of the '20s when Rishloo give us a new album.

Don't forget Elder released a new album too, and it rules face as usual. The last Karnivool was okay.. but they can do way better than that

I still don't understand what people's problem with Asymmetry. I always thought it was amazing.

"till hoping for Pain of Salvation and The Ocean to write the prog aoty." hard [2]

And don't forget new Ne Obliviscaris (hopefully), new DGM (The Passage was way better than it had any right to be, so I'm having high hopes), with some luck new Chaos Divine. End of the year might be blasting with good prog releases.
