glad we're in agreement here. after listening to this album back to back through an entire 10-hour work shift I knew it was something special. so I did the same thing the very next day and had to 5 it, haha

I think the second half is better too. Tough to top Le reve, Kalteschauer has the best riffs, Weiter hits like a tons of bricks, and So halt has the most potent atmospherics (the reverb on those opening/closing strums is soooo satisfying).

Yeah, that's the thing, when you look at the runtime it's like whoa now, but after you spin it a few times you can't imagine it any other way.

I usually feel a spark of irritation at any album that significantly passes the hour mark but it doesn't phase me at all here. the usual suspects often are guilty of heavy filler and other such bullfuckery but everything here feels necessary and considered.

I've given the first half a spin this morning. mindle put it well. I felt entranced the whole time and next thing I knew, an hour had gone by.
