I can't believe this album came out over 2 years ago. 2020 has fucked with my sense of time so much. What a waste of a year, I didn't do shit.



This album is mad disrespected around these parts though. The Descemt slaps like a stack of pancakes. The riffs shred, atmosphere on point. What more do you want

It's been two years now, and I can totally confirm that the album is a solid 4.0 for me, although I suspect the band may not be able to do anything beyond this.

The Descent is indeed a killer track. This album has a few misses though, their first album was more consistently strong. Still, what's good here is VERY good.

the first album doesnt come close to the highs here for me but it also doesnt have wack ass masochist/vagabond/above my head (i myself am not a fan of martyr either but i wouldnt quite lump it w those 3). made a combined tracklist of everything else here + the handful of songs i like off mortal coil (lucid, consume, frailty/in somnus, dusk to day) which is usually how i jam the lp material nowadays



i j wish the lps were closer to the level of quality the eps were. they kicked so much more ass pre mortal coil
