Nah not for me. Recovery is literally the only one near my score and I gave it the ska score the average is.
Everything by em is either way worse than people think, way better than people thinkn(mainly Kamikaze), or completely overrated (MMLP, Slim Shady LP)
I think the only one at first glance that’s accurate is the Eminem show, and even that doesn’t deserve its 3.8 avg

Bad Meets Evil fuckin rules tho and that 3.5 avg is a travesty.
Royce and Em are fuckin cutthroat on that record

Kamikaze is the only album I’d listen to in full since the original MMLP now
Some good tracks elsewhere but too many corny or whiny songs for me
Kamikaze worked because he was angry and wasn’t trying to bloat and album with pop singles and pop star features, he just rapped and invited other good rappers like Royce to rap with him

Lol you hadn’t commented bigging up Royce yet when I did the same

I really dig MMLP2. It’s bloated, it’s got some shit tracks, but Headlights is one of the few emotional em songs that actually land for me. Being raised by a single mother, if I’m drunk enough that song can bring me to tears.
But yeah. Infinite, Slim Shady, MMLP, Em Show, MMLP2, Bad Meets Evil, and Kamikaze are the only Eminem albums worth a shit. Crazy inconsistency with this man. One of the goats, but man just throw in the hat. You’re only ruining your legacy more with every release

I kind of agree on MMLP2 in that I think you can make a great 30 maybe 40 minute album from it but there are too many stinkers for me to listen to the whole thing again
Unfortunately he just doesn’t have anything to be relatable about in his anger anymore, which kills it for me. That’s why Kamikaze worked as it was less bloated and every song was pretty much just a fuck you note to someone, straightforward

Glad we can agree that kamikaze kills. I legit love that record. Pissed off em is the best em

Oh that's where I am different. I love Bad Meets Evil.
|

bad meets evil was terrible lol
only good tracks he's made since eminem show are rap god (and only for its impressive technicality) and godzilla
edit: just realised rap god sucks actually apart from that fast part oops

Rap God is a perfect example of modern day Eminem.
His flows throughout the track are very impressive with that one moment which is extra good but he says literally nothing interesting and the beat is crap.

i'll always stand by mmlp2 even though it's grown a little bit off of me over the years. it was truly a great record and his last one you can call that. kamikaze aged like milk bar Good Guy.

Sint why do you hate Bad Meets Evil? Aside from Lighters (which they really needed a radio hit because nothing else there was getting radio play), it’s literally just what the duo promised on the Bad Meets Evil track on the slim shady LP
|
| |
it really is astounding how many folks he tricked into thinking MMLP2 wasn't terrible simply by calling it MMLP2
i say that having initially been one of those very suckers

My name is Slim Shady and I’m here to say, I’m about to rap in a brand new way
|
| |
it's mostly just the same "corny verse, female vocal, corny verse" formula from Recovery just dressed up cleverly and opening with that terrible "sequel" to stand
the Zombies song was cool tho

Kamikaze is better, sure. And I do acknowledge that some verses are corny.
For example, there's nothing spectacular in:
"Pray you see tomorrow, little boy, you gon' learn
All them pretty bitches leave yo' ass in the urn"
Simple rhymes, simple theme. But the beat, the vocal, and yes, that simple message makes me play this over and over at the gym. Fair enough, the verses and other songs are even more on the nose – but "I don't wanna be alone in the darkness", or "I just want you to be normal" from the previous LP, as banal as it is, it just bangs.

Wait, we’re saying Bad Guy is bad? That track is the best one here

Bad Guy was great, gimmicks aside, cool beat and hook and verses where he didn’t need to go unnecessarily hard

That last verse is legit one of his best

I think I liked it on first listen but it grew off hard. not opposed to at least giving that album another listen since it's admittedly been a while
