My boyfriend let me listen to this album,

and I was never REALLY into Coheed, but

when he let me listen to the whole thing,

I really, truly did love it.

I've gained quite a bit of respect for Coheed because of this album.

They are pretty heavy going. I don't think this is absolutely perfect, I prefer their debut album and unreleased stuff but they are a pretty consistent group.

So this is fucking great. Even better than Second Stage on first listen. My view on Coheed totally changed for the better today.

Eh they're no OPETH.

But really this has a decent shot at being a 5/5 if it doesn't grow off of me at all. Too hard to tell with only one listen, but I can see myself giving this a 5 in the future.

So apparently my friend (the same one who I got to like Blackwater Park if anyone remembers that...=p) thinks this is the weakest Coheed album. What the fuck i've given this two listens and am already damn near giving this a 5/5.

It's second best. SSTB is first.

I like the title track, The Crowing, and The Light and the Glass most here but they're all so fucking good. Al The Killer has been getting stuck in my head a lot today.

I think I gotta go with The Light and the Glass as their best song.
