My boyfriend let me listen to this album,
and I was never REALLY into Coheed, but
when he let me listen to the whole thing,
I really, truly did love it.
I've gained quite a bit of respect for Coheed because of this album.

They are pretty heavy going. I don't think this is absolutely perfect, I prefer their debut album and unreleased stuff but they are a pretty consistent group.

So this is fucking great. Even better than Second Stage on first listen. My view on Coheed totally changed for the better today.

I like Second Stage better than this but this is great too

Even better than Second Stage on first listen.
Never doubted that.

Eh they're no OPETH.
But really this has a decent shot at being a 5/5 if it doesn't grow off of me at all. Too hard to tell with only one listen, but I can see myself giving this a 5 in the future.

personally?
coheed >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> opeth
because coheed touched me in a way that opeth couldn't
in the pants

So apparently my friend (the same one who I got to like Blackwater Park if anyone remembers that...=p) thinks this is the weakest Coheed album. What the fuck i've given this two listens and am already damn near giving this a 5/5.

It's second best. SSTB is first.
|
| |
i dunno
i think i prefer this over SSTB
either way, your friend is batshit insane
NWFT is definitely their weakest
|
| |
chan, do you just have a perpetual hard-on for backend of forever?

He might not have heard NWFT actually but he likes Good Apollo most.

I like the title track, The Crowing, and The Light and the Glass most here but they're all so fucking good. Al The Killer has been getting stuck in my head a lot today.

I think I gotta go with The Light and the Glass as their best song.
