gorillaz...

now that's a band I never really dug into. Clint Eastwood and Feel Good Inc are dece though. doesn't help that an old friend of mine had the biggest boner for Noodle I'd ever seen.

they're inconsistent but i wouldn't call them trash. plastic beach is amazing and they have lots of excellent singles and hidden gems. the fall and their album from this year are the only 2 that stand out to me as bad/lackluster

The gorillaz are mids but anyone acting like this is much better is on one

Can’t believe this is preferred over songs like hive and molasses...

The beats on Doris are so weak to me. These beats also are maybe a little “weak”/sickly sounding but I like it way better

Not gonna lie, seems everyone who doesn’t like this shits on the raps but that’s not even my main issue. I think the beats are literally awful.

A beat like red water with literally constant moaning in the background, or bends with its choppy ass sample usage (shattered dreams has the same problem), or beats like Veins that are so Goddamn repetitive that I feel the song goes on way too long even tho it’s only 1:30! Any of those examples have no place on a major commercial record, and kill my rating.

fr I wish this was good cuz I love earl but it’s just not lol

Like they are difficult for the average music listener to enjoy/understand

His beats aren't amazing here imo but his rapping just feels tired.

The more I listen to these beats the more I can’t get them out of my head. There isn’t a single dud on here.

Dude the whole sounding lazy or tired thing is so played out imo. Earl has always been this type of rapper. Idk why people are surprised by this lol.
