I mean Hair Song is fine, doesn't wow me at all

Care is arguably the worst song, my dude. It hardly even sounds like DGD. Mess and the Mingus are the only interesting things about it. It's not a BAD song, but in an album that's as diverse and fun as Artificial Selection is it's kind of a let down.

Care is lame confirmed

Fair, I guess. Except that’s the exact reason Count Bassy is at the bottom for me lol
The grooves on the “god damn” section of care get me so good

Care rules wtf

I just feel like that argument applies infinitely more to count Bassy than care but different strokes ig

Instrumentally, Care just sounds so artificial and radio ready. It sounds like it might have real meaning to Tilian personally, but it's a far cry from the emotion that Kurt could invoke in the listener.
TLDR; eh...

Count Bassy is incredibly experimental though with its production, making it more interesting than Care by a mile. It's also just a great song as it fools the listener with a tense buildup before diving off into this bouncy and fun chorus.

Count Bassy just kind of bores me, especially compared to the rest of the album, until Jon comes in. It’d be a complete throwaway track without him imo. But I see where you’re coming from.

not trying to start hurr durr best vocalist shit, but im trying to picture slouch with kurt on vocals and i think it'd fit really well

Kurt shouldve came back tbh

Honestly. Kurt could have easily continued as their main vocalist. I'm glad that the band's happy, but I will never not think that Tilian was the wrong choice.

Even tho Kurt is my favorite and I would've loved to see him continue as the DGD vocalist, I think it was for the best. ALLB went on to released two seriously kickass records with Kurt, and DGD rocketed to success with Tilian

I suppose. I'm glad that ALLB happened, and I'm glad that Tilian brought success to DGD. However, I still feel like there could have been a higher peak the DBM2 if they'd gone with a different vocalist than Tilian.

probably never gonna happen but what if for their final album they did 4 jonny songs, 4 kurt songs, 4 tilian songs and a final song with all three
